Icom is an outstanding, comprehensive radio manufacturer that produces radio communication equipment of all genres, from amateur radios to terrestrial, marine and avionics radios, as well as LTE, WLAN and satellite radios. Since its founding in 1964, it has created many industry-first and world-first technologies and products, and has always been at the forefront of wireless communication technologies.

The history of Icom is also the history of Japanese manufacturing. Being committed to manufacturing in Japan, the philosophy of producing products designed and developed in our own engineering facilities, and in our own factories in Japan, has not changed. Since 2018, we have been working on fully automating the production lines of our factories, and are actively investing in making them the latest smart factories, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies and robotic systems. Icom aims to evolve not only its own products, but also Japanese manufacturing technologies themselves.

In today's sophisticated and complex society, wireless communication technologies are more important than ever before, for safety and convenience. Icom is contributing to build a safe and prosperous society by providing “advanced communications” in various fields around the world. Icom will continue to make use of the latest state-of-the-art wireless communication technologies and creativity.
